A dozen of my big pots are being installed this week on the Nasher Museum's front lawn. The exhibition opens to the public this Thursday, February 11th, with an official Opening Reception and Lecture on Friday, April 9, at 7 PM. The show will be up for several months.

The show's title, "Falling into Place," refers to my love affair with North Carolina and its ceramic heritage. These monumental pots pay homage to this special place while stretching the physical, contextual, and emotional boundaries of a venerable tradition. It's a great honor to be invited to bring my work to the Nasher.

An exhibition catalogue will be available by the April reception, featuring essays by Henry Glassie, emeritus College Professor of Folklore, Indiana University Bloomington, and Tanya Harrod, Visiting Professor, Royal College of Art, London, England.

I hope those of you who live close enough to Durham will come see the show, or if you're heading to North Carolina from out of town sometime this year, make a detour!

Thanks!
Mark
