Chatham County

Display opportunity at FVRC's Second Bloom

Over the last 26 years the Artist's of Chatham County have supported
Family Violence & Rape Crisis, The Garden Place Shelter, and our
Mission valiantly donating their beautiful work and time for free.
This year we will not be doing our Big Spring Auction.

This year we might be able to help some of you a little. We are
celebrating the 6^th Anniversary of Second Bloom, we would like to
offer the Store Window to display and sell your work, Second Bloom is
asking 25% of the sale, and 75% back to the Artist. Nan Baldauf is making one
of her beautiful creations…

Family Violence and Rape Crisis invites the Chatham County Artists to
display and sell a piece of their Art at Second Bloom during the 6^th

Also, on or a day or so before, please pick up items from the previous show.) In additon to your submission I need a brief statement about the work. - March: "Tradition and Transformation: Chatham County History:" We recently saw an exhibit in Concord that focused on local history. Mill history seemed to predominate. They exhibited documentary photography on the walls, while they displayed textile wearables on modular display units. They had multi-media features and books as well. Perhaps think in terms of agricultural heritage, belief systems, ethnic identity, etc.

- April: "Elements: Works focusing on animals and the environment:" Collaborative effort with Carnivore Preservation Trust.

- May: Annual High School Student Art Show. Students curate and help hang this one.

- June: "Home and Garden: it's 100% Chatham County." Promotes September Green Building Symposium for Artists Seeking New Niche Market (with Orange County Arts Council & Handmade in America).

- July: "Digitally Speaking/Digital World:" Work incorporating all things digital (video, photography, installation art, found object art using digital work & computer art, etc). Invitational!
