Membership information

Image Upload (required for new applicants only)

  • Your 5 images should reflect a consistent body of work. While you may work in more than one genre or even have more than one style of work, we want to see that you have enough consistency, artworks and experience to show us one quality body of work of similar style and subject. Once becoming a Guild member, artists may exhibit any style or genre they wish within the medium for which they were selected. If you wish to exhibit multiple media, please submit your second media separately. For example, if you are a painter and also a weaver or potter, you would need to submit your body of painting and separately your body of fiber art or pottery.
  • Attention : images that are too LARGE will crash this online form.
    • * The optimal resolution should be around 1200x1800 (or 4 x 6” at 300 dpi). Max. image size is 1mb.
    • * Image files can be JPG, PNG, or PDF.
    • * Images submitted will be used for jurying, print media (brochure and advertisements) and digital media (web site).
    • * Name your images using this format: first initial, last name, underscore, title of work. For example, ksmith_bluepot.jpg
    • * Include dimensions of objects pictured. Submit one image of your studio and five images of your artwork.
    • * Painters need to cover or otherwise obfuscate their signature on each work to assure anonymity for jury.

    Tips for making digital images:
    • * Make the background very plain and not recognizable. The image should be of the art work alone.
    • * Fill as much of the frame as possible with the piece of art work while making sure none of the piece is cut off. If necessary, crop unwanted areas of the picture with image software on your computer. Shoot extra pictures of the art work in case the first image is not good. Bracket your exposure to ensure the proper one.
    • * Pease Do not submit poorly lit or out of focus pictures.
    • * Hiring a professional photographer with experience shooting art work is highly recommended
